Episode 040: The Dream ELA Classroom

My first classroom was in a trailer. On the edge of a very muddy field.

I ruined a lot of shoes that year, but I liked my little spot by the tennis courts. No one bothered me there, it was my own little world. Another teacher used it too, but he didn't care how I decorated it. So it was my own space in a lot of ways, and I loved that about it. Plus, it had it's own built-in bathroom. (Score.)

This week's podcast is chock full of ideas for what to put in your own little corner of campus, should you be looking for inspiration. Having a work space that makes you happy and provides creative options for your students WILL make a difference in your professional life. So whatever you may think about themed classrooms, Pinterest-worthy displays, etc. it's still important to create a space that brings out the best in you and your students.

I hope this episode is going to help you create a classroom space that makes you feel both excited and relaxed when you walk in the door. You can listen below, or on iTunesBlubrry, or Stitcher.
